Detail: Ground was broken on 12/12/08 for a new location for the Salvador Dahli Museum. The ceremony commenced with St. Petersburg Mayor, Rick Baker opening an egg. A Dali look-a-like exited the egg and onlookers threw eggs into the broken ground. Dali -like models were present. Brunch was served and gifts given upon exit. The image of this egg is repeated in several other Dali paintings.
